Dr. Rick Garcia, BSc, BVSc, MRCVS

Dr. Rick Garcia obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in 1995 from the University of Miami, concentrating his pre-veterinary training in Biology, Chemistry, and Microbiology. He also attended the University of Florida where he pursued courses in Animal Science & Animal Nutrition. During these years he also worked as a part-time veterinary technician in a Companion Animals and Exotics veterinary emergency hospital in Miami, FL. He then finished his core veterinary training at the University of Liverpool in England where he obtained his Veterinary degree in 2000 and became a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (M.R.C.V.S.).  In 2003 he pursued further training to become certified in T.P.L.O. ( Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy ) and T.T.A. (Tibial Tuberosity Advancement) both of which are orthopedic surgical techniques to repair torn cruciate (knee) ligaments in dogs. He is a member of the AVMA, MRCVS  and SCVMA.

He understands firsthand the importance of the roles and relationships between clients, their pets, referring Veterinarians in order to deliver the best experience possible for everyone. Dr. Garcia has many years of experience in surgery to assist in offering the best solutions for clients and their loved pets. By providing mobile surgical services, he is able to bring this experience to the veterinary practices directly.
